In his works, Du Hai Jun explores the aesthetic and social experience of the contemporary city, navigating the realms of architecture, memory and collective identity. His pictorial research lies at the intersection of figuration and urban construction: through a masterful use of oil on canvas — and occasionally on surfaces such as aluminium — the artist explores the phenomenology of the contemporary metropolis, from the density of residential spaces to the fragmentation of everyday landscapes, right through to the emergence of architectural grids as a metaphor for suspended individual lives.

In his works, windows — mirrors of humanity and silence — take centre stage: visual testimonies to micro-stories, social tensions and collective memories.

The exhibition offers a reflection on the transformation of metropolitan spaces, the impact of rapid urbanisation and the relationship between the individual, the community and architecture. In dialogue with the international context of the 2026 Art Biennale, the exhibition project offers new perspectives on the perception of urban space in the 21st century.
