Affective Frequencies is the first solo show by Elena Callegari in a 190 square meters space of Spazio Spuma in ex Dreher Compound. AF Is the restitution of Isole Isole Isole art & science prize dedicated to #GiovanniLoPorto killed by a Usaf automatic reaper drone.. Affective Frequencies is a project at the crossroads of art, science, and activism, unfolding between Sicily and Venice, imagined as archive of gesture and vitality against any kind of weapons and warfare.

It takes the form of a performative sonic environment composed of three listening islands, tracing a passage from affective intimacy to technological distance. Listening here becomes a political gesture, capable of making felt the transition from embodied presence to the invisible warfare and continuous triggering of neoliberal practices that intrude and homolate ancient Mediterranean culture.

The island emerges as a perceptual and political threshold: a temporarily isolated space where sound reaches the body before language, activating tension between presence and control, memory and surveillance. In this suspended terrain, vibration precedes meaning, and listening becomes an act of resistance.
