TEREZIE KOVALOVA'S MUSIC AT PERPETUO
The PERPETUO installation by Veronika Psotkova will resound with music from cellist Terezie
Kovalová
On September 16, the Santa Maria della Visitazione church in Venice will host an exceptional combination of contemporary visual art and musical performance. For one afternoon, Czech cellist Terezie Kovalová will become part of Veronika Psotková's PERPETUO installation.
During the afternoon from 2 to 5 pm, visitors will be treated to several musical performances, including variations on classical themes, intergenre improvisations, and excerpts from Kovalova´s new album Zinka. Visual and sound poetry will combine in the silence of the temple to create a unique experience.
The acoustics and atmosphere of the Venetian church of Santa Maria della Visitazione, where light, shadow, and sound coexist in a unique symbiosis, is an ideal environment for contemplation. Terezie's music, which often works with silence, tension, and layering, does not sound in such a space, but rather breathes.
The PERPETUO installation further expands the perception of space, giving the sound a new context and resonance.
