ODYSSEY, L'INIZIO DELLA FINE / CONFERENCE

Join us at IUAV Tolentini for Odyssey conference!

Odyssey, a project by G. Olmo Stuppia curated by Leonardo Ruvolo, will be presented at a press conference in Venice as part of the IUAV Centenary programme.
The event will take place on 26 March at IUAV, in the Aula Magna Tolentini, at 5.30 pm (the conference will be held in Italian), preceded by a short performance.

The conference marks the public launch of a three-stage journey that takes Venice as the real and metaphorical origin of the artist’s personal odyssey: a starting point that sets in motion a nomadic trajectory destined to continue in Naples (April) and culminate in Potenza (May), at the Provincial Archaeological Museum, the project’s host institution.

Supported by the PAC – Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, Odyssey proposes a contemporary exhibition format based on the relationship between archaeological finds, migrant memory and transmedia storytelling, beginning with the reactivation of the Cassata Drone Expanded Archive. The project involves a site-specific, multimedia installation of the works, featuring a narrative ecosystem that spans sculpture, photography, experimental film, sound, textile installations and archival materials, in a setting designed to re-establish the relationship between the museum, the local area and the Lucanian diaspora. Speakers will include the artist g. olmo stuppia, the curator Leonardo Ruvolo, the exhibition designer Gloria Bernardi and Francesca Giubilei, curator of Venice Art Factory.
