Stefano Cescon
Stefano Cescon is an emerging talent based in Venice (Italy), mostly known for his works with multiple layers of colored wax, which sit in between sculpture and painting. His recent research is based on the dialectical relationship between specular elements: the balance between surface forces (lateral and frontal) and the tonal passages. Where the shape is constrained or contained in a geometric structure, the wax acts as a counterpart capable of restoring softness and expressiveness to the final result.
Stefano Cescon was born in Pordenone in 1989, he moved to Venice in 2017. He obtained a 1st level Diploma in Visual Arts, specialization in Painting in the 2012/2013 academic year at the Cignaroli Academy in Verona. He graduated with honors in Visual Arts, specialization in Decoration in the Academic Year 2018/19 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice (I). In September 2021, he was proclaimed winner of the 8th Cramum Award.
