Silvano Rubino

larger.jpg

Silvano Rubino (1952) is an Italian artist born in Venice, Italy. He currently lives and works in Venice and Milan.

“After experiences with photography, installation, sculpture, and video, painting is the recovery of a language I had shelved since 1993. A break of 24 years.
I always looked at painting with interest. Even in the years in which I did not practice. A bug was always waiting to come back sooner or later. I knew I do it again.
My experience with painting has always been characterised by an introverted approach. It was an instinctive action. Nowadays, I believe I have rediscovered the path, recovering the features of abstractism, but also the behaviour, but now with more awareness of the harmonisation of different worlds, accumulating different experiences and combining them.”
